High School Graduation for a Future Engineer

This graduation cake has lots of cogs to represent the things an engineer uses in design.  The young man this cake was made for will be going to college for engineering.

Preschool Graduation Cake

My youngest son and one of his friends have been in the same school since they were born.  To celebrate their pre-K graduation, I created this cake to celebrate their favorite Primrose character, Billy the Duck.  Sadly Billy's head fell off at the party because of the heat/humidity, but the kids still loved it!

Eagle Scout Celebration

This chocolate chip cookie was covered in buttercream and fondant. The decorations were made of fondant as well. I am most proud of the medal -- I surprised myself with the detail!

A Beautiful Graduation

I love the flowers on this cake! This lemon and buttercream cake was covered with fondant. A 2010 graduate of Wake Forest-Rolesville, she will be attending Barton College in the fall. I really enjoyed making this cake -- the graduate and her family have a special place in my heart.

Polka Dot Graduation

I love this cake! I designed the cake for a dear friend's daughter. The graduate requested polka dots and a design that incorporated her past at Wake Forest-Rolesville HS with her future at Virginia Tech. I started with red and blue at the bottom of the first tier to represent WFRHS and used the color wheel (thanks to an idea from a friend!) to progress to maroon and burnt orange at the top. The top tier of maroon and burnt orange dots represents Virgina Tech. I left open spaces to represent the new experiences she will have in the future. The middle tier ties in her past and her future by incorporating the colors from the bottom and top tiers into a sea of polka dots! I am very proud of this cake, but I am more proud of the graduate. I have known her since she was 4 and am blessed to be part of her life!

Preschool Graduation

This cake represents my 3rd chicken...and I had just as much fun making this one as the first 2! Primrose School of Wake Forest ordered this cake to celebrate their graduation.

Class of 2010

The purple on this cake is divine! This cake was created to celebrate the high school graduation of a dear friend's son. The decorations represent his years at Broughton running track as well as his future as a Teaching Fellow at Elon (the acorn and oak leaves).
