WWII Birthday
Like his mother, my oldest son loves history. He is really interested in WWII so for his birthday, he requested a WWII cake. I created the planes, the helmets, the propellor, and the spotter cards from fondant. Since this cake was made for family, we tried out a new flavor -- mint chocolate chip -- on one of the layers. It was a hit!

Sheriff's Car Groom's Cake
This scuplted cake was created to celebrate the wedding of a sheriff. The bride wanted a car cake because the groom helped to design the stripping on the sheriff's car. The cake flavor chosen by the groom was almond and the icing was traditional buttercream covered in marshmellow fondant. My husband helped me carve the shape (based upon his "man" knowledge of cars) and then I added the details. I am proud of the way the cake turned out! The bride and groom LOVED it...and that is why I love to make cakes!
