The bride and groom designed this cake from top to bottom. From the blue to the daisies, it represented their love for one another...and for chocolate!

Engagement Bows
Dogwoods and Daisies
I love the dogwood flowers -- they remind me of the dogwood tree that was in my backyard when I was little. These flowers were made for a wedding cake tasting. The flavors were awesome -- strawberry cake with cream cheese icing, almond cake with coconut filling and buttercream icing, and chocolate with buttercream icing.

A Sweet Surprise
This almond and buttercream cake was covered in fondant flowers to surprise one of my dearest and oldest friends on her birthday. Her mother ordered the cake and gave me the freedom to design something beautiful. It was wonderful to see my friend's face light up when we delivered it -- I love to make cakes, but I especially love to make cakes for people I love.

Purple Celebration
To celebrate my mother's birthday, I created this purple cake topped with a tea cup and decorated with butterflies. This vanilla cake with southern chocolate icing was covered in purple fondant and then handpainted to resemble an antique china pattern. The icing was my favorite part because I used my Granny's recipe -- each bite reminded me of her!

A Luau Anniversary
I have not had the opportunity to make sugar flowers in quite a while so I was excited about making these! This vanilla cake was covered in buttercream and then accented with gumpaste and fondant decorations. The cake was made to celebrate a young couple's 1st anniversary. What a beautiful reminder of their union!
