Another Baseball Cake

This baseball cake helped a young ECU fan celebrate.  His eyes lit up when he saw it...which is the best part of making the cake!

Wiggles Car Cake

To celebrate a little boy's birthday, his mom asked to recreate a cake he saw online.  The chocolate car turned out awesome!

Kitchen Shower Cake

My favorite client has done it again!  She requested a unique cake and then let me use my imagination to embellish it!  This cake is now in my top 5 favorites and is my husband's #1.

Minnie Mouse...Again!

I love Minnie Mouse!  I have made more cakes with her character than any other.  I tell my clients that this is one way I get my little girl fix since I have two stinky boys:)  This Minnie Mouse cake celebrated a little girl's first birthday.

Happy Hoppy Frogs

To thank my oldest son's teacher, his class and I decided to create a cake.  She loves frogs and uses them as a theme in her classroom and as a mascot for her reading club.  My son loves to read but he loves his teacher more!  We are blessed to have her move up to teach him another year.  Happy Hoppy!

Avengers Birthday

For my youngest son's 4th birthday, we hosted an Avengers party for his friends and then a cookout for our family.  He loves Captain America, the Hulk, Iron Man, and Wolverine (I now know he is not an Avenger...but my son loves him!).  It turned out great and did not take long to get eaten!

Tae Kwon Do Cake

This cake was designed in April to celebrate a young man's birthday.  It includes the Korean characters for his name as well as the weapons he is trained to use.  The wonderful thing about the cake is that the young man worked to pay for half of it himself.  I hope my boys will do the same one day.

Baseball Birthday

My son turned 8 this weekend. I cannot believe my baby is growing up so fast! He loves baseball so he chose this cake design for his party. Of course he wanted Cubs colors. Although he is not a big fan of cake, he wanted his guests to have choices so he requested our top two flavors -- chocolate and almond. Happy birthday, sweet boy!

Engagement Bows

The bride's sister choose this design as a surprise at the engagement party. The wedding colors of blue and yellow were the base for this beautiful mint chocolate chip and vanilla cake. The daisy is the bride's favorite flower.

Dogwoods and Daisies

I love the dogwood flowers -- they remind me of the dogwood tree that was in my backyard when I was little. These flowers were made for a wedding cake tasting. The flavors were awesome -- strawberry cake with cream cheese icing, almond cake with coconut filling and buttercream icing, and chocolate with buttercream icing.

Whatcha Doing?

Our son's best friend turned 8 and he requested an Agent P cake with his nemesis. I love the expression on Doofenshmirtz' face as Agent P parachutes down!

Lights, Camera, Happy Birthday!

My husband and I had fun making this one! Each time we make a cake for this family, we are challenged to do something different. The birthday girl wanted a camera cake and she got it! The entire cake was chocolate...yum!

Dr. Seuss

This vanilla cake was created to celebrate a little boy's first birthday. The hat was a little tricky to balance, but it turned out to be one of my favorite designs!

Monkey Boys

My closest cousin has a new baby boy! I made this chocolate and vanilla cake in February for her shower. Now she has three monkey boys to keep her busy!
