This summer I had the privilege of teaching 36 middle and high school students from the Taipai FuHsing Private School in Taiwan. The students were attending a cultural immersion program sponsored by Meredith College's Global Education Initiative. To honor the students and to celebrate the completion of this summer's program, I created this vanilla and buttercream cake. The circle designs were based upon the Meredith College FuHsing logo. The top design was the Taiwanese flag, a cutout of the USA, and a Meredith logo in the middle. The Meredith logo (my favorite part...can you tell I am an alum?) represented the unification of Taiwanese and American cultures.
