Aristocats Birthday

I love the geese and the cats on this Aristocats birthday cake! Made for a little girl turning 2, this chocolate cake was decorated with fondant flowers, fence posts, and figures.

Pink and Purple Dots and Stripes

To celebrate her daughter's first birthday, I created this cake based upon a picture her mom sent me. The bow, the stripes, and the polka dots made this cake look adorable! I love the initials on the smash cake.

Cubs Cake

Once a Cubs fan, always a Cubs fan. My husband inherited his love for the Cubs from his father. My father-in-law grew up outside of Chicago and loved to go to games at Wrigley. The Cubs have always been an important part of his life and now they are an important part of ours. Each time we go to family reunions in Cubs-country, we return home with awesome souvenirs -- a 6 year old and a 2 year old! Our boys love their Cubs hats and wherever we go, we get stopped or celebrated for our loyalty to the team. In fact, this Cubs cake was made for a friend my husband met because he was wearing a Cubs hat. The young lady this cake was designed for LOVES baseball and LOVES the Cubs! She was surprised and touched when my husband delivered the cake to her. Needless to say this vanilla and chocolate cake did not last long. Although she loved the cake, I know my father-in-law would love it as well. Gene, this cake is dedicated to you! I love you and I miss you.

A Sweet Surprise

This almond and buttercream cake was covered in fondant flowers to surprise one of my dearest and oldest friends on her birthday. Her mother ordered the cake and gave me the freedom to design something beautiful. It was wonderful to see my friend's face light up when we delivered it -- I love to make cakes, but I especially love to make cakes for people I love.
