Purple Celebration

To celebrate my mother's birthday, I created this purple cake topped with a tea cup and decorated with butterflies. This vanilla cake with southern chocolate icing was covered in purple fondant and then handpainted to resemble an antique china pattern. The icing was my favorite part because I used my Granny's recipe -- each bite reminded me of her!

A Luau Anniversary

I have not had the opportunity to make sugar flowers in quite a while so I was excited about making these! This vanilla cake was covered in buttercream and then accented with gumpaste and fondant decorations. The cake was made to celebrate a young couple's 1st anniversary. What a beautiful reminder of their union!

Betty Boop

This Betty Boop is one of my alltime favorite cakes! Betty and Stitch (see previous post) were created for the same young lady.

Stitch

These vanilla cake and cupcakes were covered in buttercream and fondant. He has great teeth!

Belle

I love this cake! I matched the yellow from the topper provided by the client and then made a dress that was romantic and "flowy" (if that is a word!). The young lady celebrating her birthday lit up when she saw it!

Eagle Scout Celebration

This chocolate chip cookie was covered in buttercream and fondant. The decorations were made of fondant as well. I am most proud of the medal -- I surprised myself with the detail!

Cupcakes for a Princess

Any princess would love these vanilla cupcakes decorated with fondant crowns!

A Polka Dot Princess

This vanilla cake is covered in buttercream and fondant with a gumpaste crown and wand. The colors are great! I like the different pink tones as well as the purple and chartreuse accents. The princess loved her cake and had fun eating her smash cake!

Toy Story Birthday

I replicated a design sent to me by the mom to create this birthday cake. These plastic characters are so cute! The cake includes chocolate and vanilla tiers covered in buttercream and fondant (the boards are the best because they taste like tootsie rolls!). The birthday boy loved his cake!
